Each dohar carries the charm of hand-block printing, with gentle variations in print placement and shade that make it unique. A little excess colour may wash away in the first few washes. Colours may also appear slightly different in person due to lighting and screen settings.
Wash: Wash separately in cold water by hand or on a gentle machine cycle with a mild detergent.
Drying: Line dry in the shade, supporting the dohar evenly while wet.
ro Tip: Do not soak, scrub, bleach, or wring. Avoid direct sunlight to help preserve the printed colours.

Sanganeri Hand Block PrintingPracticed in Sanganer near Jaipur since the late 17th century, this hand-printing tradition is known for delicate flowers, leafy vines, paisleys and fine butis on light-coloured fabrics. Artisans carve each design into wooden blocks, then carefully align and press every impression by hand. Separate blocks may be used for outlines and individual colours. The process demands rhythm, accuracy and years of experience. To legally protect this unique geographical origin, authenticity, and the traditional skills of its artisan community against imitation, Sanganeri Hand Block Printing was awarded the prestigious Geographical Indication (GI) tag in 2010. Each printed textile carries subtle variations that preserve the presence of the maker and Rajasthan’s centuries-old printing heritage.
